Strawberry Jam

Make the most of the strawberry bounty with this simple stove top jam recipe.

Homemade Strawberry Jam

For every 1 cup strawberries:

-1/3 cup sugar

-1/4 tsp vanilla

-1 tbsp chia seeds

-1 tsp lemon juice

Wash and remove stems from the strawberries.


Place into a pot with the sugar and vanilla.


Cook on medium low heat, stirring every few minutes.


As the strawberries soften, purée them with a potato masher until desired consistency.


Remove from the heat and mix in the chia seeds and lemon juice. Let it rest for 20-25 minutes.


Whilst still warm, jar the jam in mason jars. Let it cool completely, then place in the fridge. It will thicken as it cools down.
