Niemi Family Farm #16

There is no misnomer in the name Niemi Family Farm. Farmers Peter and Marjo have 10 kids eager to learn more about farming and home baking. Marjo's dream growing up in Finland was to have a farm and she now has that, growing vegetables, perennials, trees and shrubs on their Mt. Albert property.

You can also find them at East Gwillimbury Farmers Market and Newmarket Farmers Market with baked goods so fresh that Don, the farmer at Howard's Farm, will tell you they're still warm when you get them home.

Number 16 on our guide map, Niemi Family Farm has farm gate sales of vegetables, pies, breads, plants and trees and in season they offer Christmas trees and wagon rides. Open Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Sundays, they are located at 18463 Highway 48 in Mount Albert, Ontario.
