YMCA Cedar Glen Organic Farm #30

YMCA Cedar Glen Organic Farm is growing, head farmer Mel now employs 4 full time staff during the growing season. What started as a garden to supply the onsite kitchen now produces enough to offer a 20 week Harvest Share Program. Starting July 3, in addition to pick up, weekly shares are being delivered to 4 GTA YMCA locations, making fresh organic food available to those unable to drive to Schomberg.

Cedar Glen sits on 236 acres in the Oak Ridges Moraine and Ontario Green Belt. During the summer it offers day camp including a popular Farm Camp where young people aged 6-12 learn how to grow food and why it matters.

Cedar Glen Organic Farm is open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m, Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed Saturdays. They are location number 30 on our guide map, at 13300 - 11th Concession in Schomberg.
